How to Practice Daily While Being a Mortal?
Play the violin better by doing this effective warm up routine before you practice! You'll learn bow hand, sound and scale exercises.
Do you get all the results you want on the violin or viola? Do you practice daily?
If the answer to both questions is ‘no’, then this video is a must-watch for you!
You know you have to practice daily… but you if you are a mortal and you have a life full of obligations this can be a challenge. You have to work, study, cook, clean and a have a lot of other obligations. It sometimes seems impossible to study regularly and put playing the violin or viola high on the priority list. But if you want to get results you must really put the violin high on your priority list. When you don’t feel like studying, try to think about the results you want to achieve. Do you really want to get those results? Then you must put in the effort to get them! Realizing this really helps me to start practicing, even when I didn’t feel like it at first.
Another thing you might do to help is making a habit of practicing at a set time every day. This will make it easier because you get used to picking up you violin at the same time every day and practicing for the same amount of time. When you think to yourself: ‘I will practice when I’m finished with everything.’ There is a big chance you will never practice because a to do list never ends…
The biggest tip I can give you is to just do it! When you get used to practicing every day, your life will be adjusted to that schedule and it will be a lot easier to keep on doing it. There is nobody out there that doesn’t have time to brush their teeth, because they make the time. This is the same with practicing the violin or viola! Even if you just practice for a couple of minutes, practice daily. Practicing ten minutes every day is better than practicing an hour a week.
