love these. i am 11 years old and have been playing for 4 years. I recently finished Vivaldi’s Concerto in A minor Op. 3 and Seitz’s Concerto No 2 in G major Op 13. #rd Mvt. I’m thinking about playing the Küchler, Ferdinand opus 15 next. What do you think?
Sure, go for it!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!
Same to you, Amisa!
Thanks so much for this. You have a large heart and are so inspiring a teacher. . .
You’re so welcome 🙂
Thank you Zlata, this is a wonderful list. I started learning violin 3 years ago aged 72, and am now working on the Vivaldi RV310 in G major first movement for ABRSM grade 5.
This performance is so polished I realise I have a long way to go before I have it good enough for the exam, but it sounds beautiful!
Enjoy, Tony!
Well, my 10 year old son(6th generation violinist) and I just discovered your channel and this site. He has been playing for about a year and a half now and is extremely proficient, so he decided to give Violin Concertino, Op.75 a go. He LOVED it and it is perfect for his first foray into something challenging. Thank you so much and we also want to thank you for your videos as well. It has helped him in places I completely overlooked.
I’m so happy I’ve been of help to him :). How wonderful that you’re playing for so many generations.
This is pretty great Zlata!! Thanks so much!! I’ve been watching your videos since I was shopping for a bow and you taught me about the differences between carbon fiber vs wood bows! You have great content and are teaching much more than violin technique!! I have bookmarked this page as a great reference tool! I wish you soo much success!
Aaaw, you’re so welcome, Osie!
This is a fabulous resource! I wish there were world class recordings of more of them. I found Perlman’s Concertos of my Childhood, and a Polish series of Violin Concertos for Children with great violinists, but I wish there were more.
Thanks and Happy Easter to you also! -Sister Marie-Therese Swiezynski
Thank you, Sister, take a look at the Henri Vieuxtemps YouTube channel. He publishes a lot of recordings of not-so-known violin concertos.
Thanks so much. It can be really hard to fill in that between beginner and intermediate for performing something special for this group. Some of these lesser known (to me at least) works look perfect.
Wonderful, Lisa!
Rieding op.21! Thanks a lot for this list with beautiful music, I love it and will have a lot of fun the coming years…
Awesome! Thank you for sharing these beautiful music!
You’re so welcome, Michael!
Great, Thisbe, I love Rieding op 21 with it’s ‘gypsy sauce’.
Good day Zlata
Thank you for the concertos but I wonder do you have Komarovsky 3 violin concertos
Regards
You can download it at http://www.imslp.org
Hi! These pices are great! I love to play them! Also, I have an audition soon and we can choose whatever song we like. I am an Intermediate violinist but I hate to shift. Do you have a piece that you recommend that will impress but also be a little easy? They are also looking for sfz and vibrato. Thanks!
Rieding op 21? (only first and third I believe)
Perfect. Thanks! Wish me luck and also to you, Zlata!
Thanks and good luck, Maggie!
I have enjoyed your tips, tidbits, videos and resources for quite some time, Zlata, as well as following your adventures with 2 sets of twins plus one! Your energy and enthusiasm are inspiring across many miles! I’m in California, 80 years old, still an “intermediate” violinist, but still interested! Please keep me on your mailing list! I’m a fan!
Wonderful, happy to have you here!
