What Trills can Teach You about Vibrato on the Violin and Viola | Violin Lounge TV #223
You'll learn the low second finger making it possible to learn the C major and G major one octave scales on the violin. Play along with me!
If you can already do trills well, these can be a key to learning vibrato. The movement in your left hand is similar if you perform your trill with a relaxed wrist. In vibrato you do almost the same thing, only you don’t put the other finger down. You just roll over the tip of the finger that is on the string.
How you can achieve vibrato is to do a trill with a loose wrist… but without the actual trill.
