Learn to play Meditation from Thaïs on the violin with this easy first position tutorial including finger close up and free sheet music:
Dreaming to play Meditation from Thaïs by Massenet on the violin?
I’ve made this EASY version in the first position, so you can enjoy playing this piece at a much earlier stage of your violin journey.
It’s in a different key as the original: G major instead of D major. Because of this everything is a fifth lower and the notes you have to play are not as high. Also I’ve made some other adjustments to make it easier to play.
Fill out the form on this page to download the free sheet music and also get the piano accompaniment. You can play the dynamical sheet music and the backing track at any speed thanks to the Soundslice software.
Enjoy playing this piece and let me know in the comments what you think! Also suggestions for other pieces you’d like to learn are welcome.

Thank you so much and blessings, Wendy!
This is beautiful. Thank you so much. It will be a challenge to learn, but I will give it a try.
Enjoy, Luvenia!
Dear Zlata,
Thank you for the music you played on your violin.
Now I want to try the Thaī song by myself.
Greetings,
Ron
Wonderful, Ron, enjoy!
Zlata, Many thanks for sharing your knowledge of the violin. Your love of playing shows and your talent for teaching is a blessing. I wish I could afford your bowing lessons. Maybe someday. May the Lord bless you and your sweet little family too.
Thanks so much, Annette, did you know that since some time I also have the more affordable Violin Bowing Bootcamp. You can check it out right here.
I have sent 4 requests for the sheet music but nothing happens

I have downloaded the sheet music, but how do I get the backing track, which I understood should be available to use with the music. I would love to try this, but I am a beginner, so need to slow it down. Any help would be appreciated.
The Soundslice link is in the same e-mail as the download link. You can use that to practice at any speed and also loop certain parts.
